Area attractions include Cathedral Caverns (2 miles) which holds 6 world records, Blowing Winds Cave (9.3 miles) 250,000 endangered bats leave the cave June through Sept. to consume over a billion insects, N.A.S.A space center, Huntsville AL (26 miles), and Chattanooga, TN 45 minutes away.

GPS: 34.581463N, -86.22422W From Scottsboro Alabama take Route 72 west. Approximately 16 miles on the left, you will see a log cabin gas station turn left onto route 6, just before the gas station. Route 6 is a hidden road, which goes behind the log cabin station. The entrance to Nutty Acres Campground is just past the horse pasture on the right approximately 2-3 miles. From Huntsville Alabama, route 72 east. Follow signs for Cathedral Caverns State Park, do not turn onto Cave Rd going to the cave. Stay on Cathedral Caverns Rd. We are 2 miles past Cave Rd. on the left. Alternatively, turn right onto route 6 at the log cabin gas station.
