Passport America Caravans - Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reserve a trip?

$500 deposit will lock your trip in and it is 100% refundable up until 60 days prior to the trip.

How many RV's will be in the caravan group?

15-26 units

How many miles do we drive on a travel day?

We average 200 miles or less when traveling to the next destination.

Do we all travel together?

Travel at your own leisure to the next destination. Wagonmaster is usually the first out the park and the caravan group will follow. Some will drive straight to the next stop and others will stop to visit places along the way. Tailgunner will be the last out of the park.

Are the RV parks big rig friendly?

Yes. You'll provide us with the size and type of RV and accommodations will be made for the specifications you give us.

Do the tour buses have bathrooms?


Are pets allowed?

Yes. Bus tours over 7 hours we will have staff available to take non-aggressive pets out for a walk if needed.

What is the average length of a bus tour?

5-9 hours

Do we need to tow a vehicle?

Only for convenience. You might want to drive to the store or see something else at one of the destinations.

What kind of RV's go on the caravans?

We get Fifth Wheels, Motorhomes, Travel Trailers, and Truck Campers.

Do I need special insurance?

Other than your RV insurance you might want to purchase medical assist from companies like GoodSam or Skymed. These policies cost between $60-$120 and will take good care of you if an emergency should occur.

What if we breakdown?

Tailgunner will work beside you to determine the problem and finding the nearest service place. The protocol is to get you caught up to the group as soon as possible. You won't be alone no matter how big or small the problem is.

What do I receive when I sign up for a caravan?

You will be sent an email confirmation followed by another email from the Wagonmaster within 24 hours with specific details of the trip.
